pumpkin pictures 2

this pumpkin outfit was a gift from his grandma marvis and grandpa john, who brought it to us when we were at his cousin elizabeth's wedding in minneapolis in september.  last month he would not tolerate the hat, but this month, despite it sometimes falling back in the midst of his obsession with the jack o' lantern that he resembled, he had no problem with it!  we tried to get a bunch of photos with him and the rapidly deteriorating jack o' lantern, which has spent the week in the house when it might better have survived out of doors.  alas, it currently has a hot mess of mold inside it, and theo was doing his best to get his hands into it.  since he wasn't allowed free range of the pumpkin when it was lit in the evenings, he was so excited to get to explore it out on the porch that none of our smile tactics had much traction.  so we were doing our best to a) get him to smile b) take photos c) keep him from falling off of the porch d) keep him from getting his hands fully immersed in the several varieties of mold growing inside of the pumpkin and the pumpkin ooze coming out the back of the pumpkin.  our poor handlebar mustache pumpkin!

at any rate, none of this mattered to theo.  all he really cared about was the vegetable before him, his halloween kin.
