midsummer

we are still a few days away from real midsummer (a festival i am fond of for natal reasons), but it was celebrated last night on campus in conjunction with the 150th anniversary of the augustana synod.  theo wore his swedish-yellow hat in observation:

there was a lot of dancing and hoo-hah!  

theo was the youngest of the maybe 200 people on the scene! he was a bit obstreperous when it was time to leave -  live music and pleasant crowds are so a-o.k. that departing them is not o.k. in his book!  but that gets ahead of the story.  in these shots below, he's just enjoying the bmuggy, mbuggy (we're not sure which version  captures the combination of muggy and buggy best!) summer evening.
